The Mineola Teachers Association consistently evidences a belief in community service. In 2009 they demonstrated this by:
- Raising $20,000 for the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk.
- Awarding $10,200 in scholarships to graduating seniors.
- Supporting student booster clubs, the yearbook and the spring musical.
- Supporting Education Week, the Mineola Library and passage of the school budget.
