Re:              25 Years in Education & New Tenure Honorees

The Annual Honors Buffet will be held on Friday, May 8, 2009, at the Jericho Terrace in Mineola.  Every year the MTA honors all our staff members who are retiring, staff members who have given 25 years to education and those staff members who have been granted tenure. 

To be honored for 25 years, your service does not have to be only in Mineola, it is a total of all the years dedicated to your profession.  This honor extends to all staff members in our district; any teacher, secretary, custodian, teacher aide, bus driver or administrator who has given 25 years to education will be honored as our guest.  You know who you are – please tell us!  If this is your silver jubilee year or you have been granted tenure during the past school year, we want to acknowledge your accomplishment and invite you to share in our honors celebration.

Please call me at the MTA office at 741-3968, as soon as possible, but no later than Monday, March 9, 2009.  I will be able to give you all the information you need to be a special part of Honors 2009.
